Personal relation:

I am a person who loves traveling because I think it is great chance to learn more from this world, especially the way how people living in different places think. However, it is a little hard for people to understand a place’s culture thoroughly by being a tourist and taking a look at those tourist attractions.

Luckily, all the CAN’T can be done if people go on another special kind of travel called “working holidays”. People can live in the life how local people do, they can work for local agency, also, they will broaden their horizons through the experience of working holiday.

1.      The unexpected accidents occurred frequently as the number of people who goes working holidays increase. ROC representative office in Australia said that Taiwan's accidental death cases occurred in Australia has added up to 10 cases so far this year, including car accidents (4), drowning (3), suicide (2) and unknown reasons for sudden death (1).

Ex: (1) A 23-year-old girl from South Korea was murdered and being abandoned in the park during her working holiday to Australia.

   (2) A 23-year-old Taiwanese backpacker who works in an Australia meat plant illicitly was accidentally fell into the boiler. After being rushed to the hospital, the injury had no longer life-threatening, but the fee of helicopter which took him to the hospital cost a total of NT $ 1.38 million.

2.  Foreign medical system generally applies only to the locals. If an accident occurs to foreigners, the medical cost could be considerable.

Why do i choose this topic?
Because I love traveling, and working holidays is one of the types of travel.

What do I want to learn from it?
Working holidays is a little different from other travel experiences because though this form, i can be closer to the locals' lives.
I want to learn not only their lives but also the way they get along. I believe the way people get along with each other varys in different places.  

What i want to show in my presentation?
1. what people think about working holidays and what it actually is. (Taiwan labor...)
2. compare my experience and others' experience. (now i am trying to find an appropriate timing doing it in person)

一個沒有朋友沒有家人的城市，幾乎讓那些原本想像中的美好畫面瓦解，旅行在此時此刻不是一件浪漫的事，而是求生的本能。然後你會開始真正意識到，在這塊諾大的土地中，你不知道自己到底能夠去哪裡。

慢慢地我明白自己想要的不只是這些，我不只想要旅行，我希望旅行帶給人們不同的意義，我想要證明來打工度假不是浪費時間，只有當你覺得你在浪費時間，你才會真正的浪費人生。最重要的是，我想要找回實現夢想的勇敢。我開始相信自己的能力，也相信實現夢只要「做」就對了。

        A city without family and friends almost make those pretty dreams collapse. Traveling is not romantic at this time, it’s a survival instinct. Then you will begin to realize that you don’t even know where to go in this great land.

        Gradually I understand what I want were more than these. I not only want to travel, but also hope to give people different meanings about traveling. I want to prove that working holidays are not a waste of time. You are really wasting time only when you think you are. The most important is that I want to find the courage of achieving dreams back. 打工度假的正反面影響比較

經驗	在這些工作體驗裡，我認真的了解到最低工資的實現對保障草根階層生活安穩的重要性。在一個公平的社會裡，職業無分貴賤，我們都是以不同的角色為社會貢獻，每個敬業樂業的人都值得我們尊重。讀工管的我，也許有機會在書本上學到這些管理理論，但這總跟你親身經歷過著這樣的生活是兩碼子的事。	打工度假的體驗分享，大部分都會教你去找什麼農場工廠之類的工作。人在異鄉，除非你有什麼特殊的一技之長或是神級的工作經驗，你剛開始找到的工作也只會是一些基層體力勞動型職缺。你的寶貴學歷職業技能統統不管用，四肢發達能刻苦耐勞才是重要資產。幸運的背包客剛好遇上工作旺季還好，要是時間不對，搞不好一天到晚都得躲在Backpacker等工作，沒工作連一點錢也不敢亂花。沒有合法的工作機會，又沒有人脈關係，最後可能還得給當地華人的黑工壓詐
朋友群	打工度假是你一個交朋友的好機會。他們跟你想法相近，能夠放棄一年時間來到一個陌生的地方，這基本上已證明他們對自己人生有另外的一些看法，如果你也是一樣的人，那應該比較容易跟打工度假的朋友合起來。他們有夢想，敢於在人生裡努力的去實現自己的一些目標跟想法，不會像絕大多數人只不滿現狀，整天把怨言掛在口中卻不敢改變自己的生活。旅行時，很容易把人的優點缺點無限放大，如果在旅途上你能找到一個知心好友，他們絕對有機會成為你一生一世的好朋友。	旅行認識的人來來去去，可能你一年裡有不少難忘的經驗。可是，來自五湖四海的朋友跟你真的可以有長久的友誼嗎？當大家都回到了自己實現的生活，再也沒有共同的話題時，實在是很難把旅途中建立的關係好好維持下去。試想想，你還有跟你國中大學的朋友聯繫嗎？如果連跟你在同一個城市國家裡生活的朋友也不能好好維持，你覺得打工度假的朋友又可以有多長久呢？
生涯規劃	每個國家都有一些特別的工作機會，讓你在人生中有不一樣的體驗。回家後，你是否可以很驕傲的跟你未來雇主分享你這一年裡的學習或體驗，又或是羞於告訴別人你出國除了工作賺到錢去旅遊但其他時間都只是在跟你說相同語言的朋友在混，一年的生涯規劃，從來都掌握在你自己手上。	打工度假的農場工廠工作經驗又一點也不值錢，對未來事業發展亳無幫助。在外一年學到的英文要在職場上認真的跟人比起來也只是半斤八両，再不要說一天到晚的勞動型工作能讓你的英文有多少進賬呢？
享受	這一年裡最難忘，最開心的回憶都是生活上的一些小節。不評論豪華式旅遊是否最好的旅遊模式。打工度假，從來都不是讓你只是擁有物質奢華的度假型享受。對我來說，這比較像是挑戰自己的一個機會。當然，你可以選擇安安穩穩的花錢休閑旅遊，在一些名勝古蹟停留一兩天借個背景拍拍照去證明你去過很多地方。但有很多經驗，見聞，感覺，不是你一兩天時間可以花錢買回來的。	如果你一心只是想放鬆一下，找個地方放下工作生活壓力來旅遊一下，那為什麼要用整整一年的時間去打工度假？反正打工度假根本不可能令你富有起來。有錢去玩去才享受是真正的王道。
家人朋友	除了你家人朋友可能不能諒解支持你之外，一年裡打工度假會遇到的問題會比你想像中的多很多，但這並不構成你放棄這個一生一次機會的原因。如果你想要真正掌握你自己的人生，你需要的不是諒解支持，是勇氣，是看見可能困難然後想辦法解決而不是沒有別人支持就放棄的勇氣。	家人朋友不能諒解支持是絕對可以理解的。在你離開家人朋友決定遠走高飛一年前，請認真想清楚你會不會為他們帶來更大的心裡負擔。這樣出走一年，除了花了你一年時間外，可能讓你更難維繫跟你家人朋友的關係。打工度假不是你想像中的普通旅遊這麼簡單。

其他說服你去打工旅行的原因:

1. 學習失敗

打工度假這一年裡會為你帶來很多的失敗，挫折。就是你計劃再好，你的計劃永遠趕不上變化。在一個陌生的環境裡，沒有家人朋友的幫助，如果你能成功獨立面對各種問題，這才是你真正長大的時候。每次的失敗，都是你學習成長最好的經驗。

 2. 做一個不一樣的自己

來到一個新的國度展開你的新生活，沒有人知道你的過去，沒有人會對你有先入為主的想法，你就是你。放下過去的包袱，放下別人對你心中的期許，放下你人生中一些概有的想法跟方向，你在打工度假這一年有機會嘗試用一個全新的角度審視自己的人生，把你的壞習慣改掉，把你一直以來想試想做想玩的東西統統給試光光。這一年的時間，暫時離開你已有的方向道路，給了你最沒有壓力的空間展現你對生活裡的種種可能性，認清自己的喜惡，讓你活出你自己想要的人生。

 3. 你不是遊客，你是居民

打工度假的好處，是讓你有機會深入的了解一個地方的文化，讓你有機會像本地人一樣在那邊工作，生活。我希望，如果你有天拿着打工度假的簽證，請記得賺錢不是你最重要的考量。選一個你喜歡的環境工作，生活，好好珍惜每分每秒，認真的住在一個地方，融入當地的文化生活，放下自己既有的價值觀，以開放的態度面對新的環境，這才是你真正把打工度假跟一般幾天旅遊享受分開的時候。

 4. 讓你的夢想起飛

一年打工度假，可能是很多人的夢想。在出發前你可能有一千萬個原因問題教你卻步放棄。打工度假教我最多的，是永遠和你的夢想一起成長。我出發前也只是窮學生一個，把銀行裡所有的存款換了一千紐幣就跑了出去。剛開始時我也有經歷過不安的階段，擔心找不到工作沒錢就活不下去。最後，我把自己臉皮弄厚一點，在商場裡每個老闆一一拜訪去問空缺，我的第一份工作就是這樣問來的。其實，這世界上沒有不能解決的問題，只有你不想解決不敢面對的問題。打工度假同學們都有一樣的起跑點，你怎樣跑下去拿到什麼成績，是完全取决於你自己。你問我，缺錢不是重點，但缺了夢想，缺了夢想的勇氣，缺了把夢想實現的動力才是永遠讓你不能起飛的原因。如果你踏出了第一步，把一年的計劃實行，才有條件擁有更大的夢想力，和你的夢想一起成長。

 5. 做你人生中的作者

十八到三十歲，是你人生裡最青春的時間。你可以選擇把你的青春放在每天一直刻板的生活，每天一樣的覺得自己人生沒希望，又或是每天繼續羨慕別人可以活得比你更精彩燦爛。對你自己的人生負責，如果你放棄了改變的機會，不要為你原本可以改變的人生而一直抱怨。我常說，人生就像一本書，而你是你自己那本書唯一的作者。一年的時間，是好是壞，沒有人能說準。最壞打算，你真的浪費了一整年的時間，這才是你人生中很少很少的一個部分，是你那本書裡其中一頁而已。每個扣人心弦的故事總得有高低起伏，這樣才是一本值得一看再看的書。

C.(履歷表)

 

1. 履歷表是件惱人的事，不是翻譯成英文就可行。每個國家對於簡歷的需求都有些許不同，一開始求職時除了果園、雪山的季節性工作之外，遞出的申請幾乎都沒有回應，最終在參考了加拿大AB省官方就業服務中心人員所擬定的履歷表，我才發現自己的那張C.V出了什麼問題。 

2. 特點：沒有年齡、沒有國籍、沒有照片。

        為了防止各項歧視事件產生，那份履歷表所呈現的就是你個人在工作生涯的經歷，
        無關其他。
           明確標示幾個項目：1.申請職務

                                           2.持有的境內有效證照

                                           3.簡短說明個人特質

                                           4.參考人的聯絡項目

                                           5.聯絡資料

          並不是所有的工作申請都需要付上求職自薦信。

 

 

D.(找工作前觀念須知)

 1. 一定要了解產季

         在澳洲農業的工作為大宗，不論你需不需要蒐集二簽，從事農業的機會非常之大，所
         以你一定要清楚了解目前農作物的產季為何，才不會讓你浪費太多時間在沒有工作的
         地方。

 2. 妥當的安排時間

         目前愈來愈多人前往澳洲，大家可以想像一下，如果大家都擠在一個城市裡面，找工作
         的難度一定相對提高不少。

3. 越容易到達的地方越要小心遇到不良工作

4. 冬天要往北走嗎?

其實因為氣候改變，當真正的冬天來臨了，全澳各個地方除了大型的賣場.工廠外，多數地區工作也開始緩和下來，人力的需求性也會降低，多數人會跑去北昆士蘭或是達爾文，但到了當地才發現，已經有一大堆人在排隊等工作了。所以當你知道你的工作將會結束在冬天的時候，如果想繼續延續工作生活，最好要提前收集工作情報喔，其實還有其他工作機會是在北部以外的呢。

 

5. 別太依賴背包客棧工作區

  多數人在找工作的時候都燃燒生命在背包客棧上，不斷等待新工作的出現，在背包客棧上仍然有好心的背包客PO出優質工作資訊，但裡面仍暗藏許多黑工在裡面，甚至有些標題就寫上「黑工」兩個字。所以如果只有利用這個工具找工作，真的是很可惜，好的工作，幾乎都是靠你自己發掘出來的，應該要更多元你找工作的方式才有意義。

 

6. 為後來的人著想

雖然我們頂多在澳洲待個1.2年，做的也不是永久醒的工作，但是還是希望大家能夠拿出應有的態度，倘若真的不適合，或是想辭職，還是禮貌性向雇主告知。我們雖然是在流浪，但不用像浪子一樣做什麼事情都我行我素，在澳洲我們代表的不僅僅是個體，還代表了台灣，至少可以讓雇主對台灣留下好印象，也造福往後來澳洲的新包包們。
 

7. 別只用一種方法找工作

很多人常常待在家抱怨找不到做，卻只會用網路一個方法找尋工作。其實這樣的路太狹隘了，很多人都說我已用盡全力，但還是找不到，如果只是用盡全力在家上網找工作，不勇於嘗試撥電話過去詢問，其職甚麼多沒有改變。

8. 不要害怕距離遠

在旅途中遇見很多找工作的背包客，因為不確定，所以不敢移動到太遠的地方，再找工作的時候，你不能只端看一個鄉鎮而已，你必須要看整個省，甚至全澳。

很多背包客找到工作卻因為嫌遠不去，錯失了很多機會，實在很可惜。

9. 別輕易放棄任何可能性
詢問工作之時，別因為對方說目前沒有工作就輕言放棄，那是代表目前沒有職缺，但說不定過不久就有職缺。表現出積極的態度，讓他們認識你，當有職缺釋出的時候，他們第一個想到的就是你。
難得出國沒有人知道你是誰，所以大膽做一些你不敢做的事吧，厚臉皮一點也無傷大雅。總之多認識不同的人，多大膽嘗試開口講話，不須刻意，簡單的與人為善，好運會用你無法想像的方式來到你身邊。
